Dr Ranbir Chander Sobti, Padam Shri, is the Professor of Biotechnology and
Vice Chancellor of Panjab University (PU),Chandigarh, India. He is a
visionary and dynamic leader, a devoted teacher and researcher, and a
humble human being.
After obtaining a Gold medal in M.Sc. (Hons.) from Panjab University in
1970, Dr. Sobti completed his PhD from PU in 1974.
Since July 2006, Prof R.C. Sobti is leading the Panjab University
Chandigarh as its Vice Chancellor.
